A big hi from the Great Lakes! :)
Hi everybody,
I've been lurking on this forum for a couple weeks now, and I must say that a lot of you do really inspiring work! In fact, just from reading the forum today I decided buy some new supplies to add to my line-up (new brushes, my first rainbow cake and a little Metallics kit! yay!!!). Buying cool face painting supplies really is slightly addictive...
Anyway, my name is Janna, and I'm a recent BFA graduate. I live smack-dab in the middle of the Great Lakes, as you might've guessed from the title... haha. I've been face painting on and off since I was a wee teenager, about 10 years ago. A lady down the street from me is a face painter, and she taught me how to paint when I was around 13. Now, many years later, I do birthday parties and a few community events by myself. It's so fun! And it's a really great way to make some extra cash on top of my day job.
I live in a small city, so I'm basically the only person in town who does birthday parties... which is a good advantage for me I guess, but it does make pricing difficult. But after reading a lot of forum posts I pretty much figured out I was greatly undercharging. I'm still kinda trying to figure that out.
Anyhoo... what else can I say? Nice to meet everybody!!!
