Re: Questions about filbert brushes

Oh, yeah...teeth and horns! I use a smaller one for skull teeth (so they are a little shaded) and then horns although I wasn't using my magpie for horns until someone pointed it out...and I'm like "duh"!

Thanks Pilareta, I was trying to create a flame butterfly and made these goofy antenna things coming off the wings and they reminded me of dragons so I used the flame cake to make dragon wings and mirrored dragons. (I still want to make a flame butterfly.)

Here's the original ugliness! and the end result Smile

I use filbert when I want to draw and color in a larger design quickly. You can draw the shape by turning the filbert side-ways and color in by using flat side of the filbert.

I use a filbert brush for onestroke all the time too...daisy are great...leaves...just double load them ...as you would anyother brush..you may go to Donna Dewberry site.. and she may have some ideas there as well for the filbert. You just start and end on the tip as always in onestroke painting...make great swirls etc

I use my filbert for dragon horns and teeth, too. Also, they make great spiderman eyes and any eye shadow color, because of the round edge. I have a big one for large one-stroke swirls.
Love my filberts!
