newbie from vegas

Post by vegas mom on Sun Nov 06, 2011 5:56 pm

Hi
wow I love your site here... I just want to paint my little girls face. She likes to be painted on almost a daily basis since she had her face done in disney.. I have tried Palmers face paints from Joanns and it stained her face and dried out. Then I bought some snaz online, it seems to wear off real fast and smear easily.. Would love to know what the better brands are out there and really not wanting to take any jobs away, oh and do you know of any pros is Las Vegas???? thanks

Welcome to the forum and have fun!

If you're looking for a paint with staying power - many of those will stain more easily than Snazaroo tends to. Snaz doesn't smear that easily - are you looking for water resistance? None of the water-activated brands will resist the most face-touchy little ones, unfortunately.

Definitely take a look through Metina's shop here. All the products there are going to easily suit your needs.

Welcome.

I use mostly snazaroo or starblends for children's bases, DFX or tag for line work.

I've bought some paradise paints but haven't really played with them much yet to figure out where I want to use them.

It's all about what suits your preferences!

Have fun Smile

Welcome to the forum. There's a face & body art convention in Vegas every year as well. The www.facepaintforumshop.com has a lot of great stuff, from books on face painting to supplies. The shipping is inexpensive & fast. The prices are very reasonable & Metina(the owner) is awesome & professional!

hi vegas mom...

i think the las vegas convention in march is about 300.00

but...looks like you can volunteer and go to all the classes for less
http://www.fpbaconvention.com/registration/volunteers-needed/

conventions are amazing!!
you will learn sooo much!! not only from the top fabp...but, also from all the wonderful painters that attend.

also, there is a vendor room...where you can try all the products before you buy.

i know it seems like a lot of money...but, you will learn so mch!!

good luck!!
