Glitter Tattoo Reaction
A little guy that I did a glitter tattoo on seems to have had a slight reaction. Right around and under the tattoo he had some raised red bumps with whiteheads on top. I used the body glue from Glimmer Body Art. I'm just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. Is it something in the glue that's irritating to the skin?
Re: Glitter Tattoo Reaction
Is there latex in the glue? I think I read somewhere there can be. It could cause a reaction. I'm not familiar with that glue so I can't say. Sorry.

Contact the company for the MSDS to see the ingredient list... could be something in it.
Re: Glitter Tattoo Reaction
I have not experienced any glue reactions and my daughter is Latex sensative. What did you use to prep the skin?

Re: Glitter Tattoo Reaction
I used an alcohol wipe to prep the skin. They didn't notice anything right away, but called me about 3 days after he got it. The ingredient list is: water, acrylic, vinyl acetate, and surfactant. It doesn't contain latex. I was wondering if it could be the acrylic.
Re: Glitter Tattoo Reaction
He could be sensitive to adhesives in general (the vinyl acetate would be the culprit in that case), or sensitive to acrylic resins.
Re: Glitter Tattoo Reaction
Thanks for the input. I guess I'll just have to skip the glitter tattoos with him in the future.
