New one-stroke color combos

Post by Denise Cold on Tue Nov 08, 2011 6:12 am

Guys...I'm so excited about some one-stroke cakes I made tonight but it's after 3:00 am and I'm exhausted and it's hubby's birthday tomorrow so I wanted to show you this one because I'm shocked at how cool it turned out. It's a twist on the autumn cake...I'm calling it "fall leaf"...got to go to bed...

Sleep

Okay, here's the others. I've got a spring colors one that is a lot like TAG's jewel but uses teal instead of blue (Pirates and Princesses had a picture with pink & teal mixing to purple....AWESOME...I'm going to make a split with those colors today.) I shall call it "Spring" Very Happy

The next one is a modified snake cake (because mine was running out) and I put a sliver of black on one end and white on the other so that I could do ALL type of leaves with it and still make a snake with a 3/4" brush. So if I use a 1/2" I can make bright leaves or I can make dark leaves/holly/clovers, etc. I shall call it "leaves" Smile LOL

Next, I needed a substitute for a dolphin cake. I didn't really like the purple on the TAG dolphin and even blue bird is too much so I put just a sliver of blue at the end, tulip silver, powder blue and white. I worked on a one stroke dolphin that would look more like a real dolphin so you wouldn't have the double line (I still like my little cartoonish dolphin...he's done with a 1/2" brush) It's a little more sophisticated and subtle but I think he looks more real. I shall call it "natural dolphin"

And then I just took some better pictures of the "fall leaf"...I was too tired last night to see straight. The colors excite me, they are so pretty on the skin. The light green just makes it pop.

I don't think I'm done though. While it's a mess I'll make that pearl pink & teal split (teal is so dang soft...grrr.) and a pearl version of the unicorn cake. And last, but not least, enjoy the carnage!! affraid

That would be great! My family would appreciate the lack of carnage too.

Pearl Unicorn

Post by Denise Cold on Tue Nov 08, 2011 2:56 pm

Here's the pearl version of the unicorn cake. I'm out of one-stroke containers so I used a lid which is okay because I didn't have much paint in these colors. I had a sillyfarm cake that was running out so I used the pink and purple from it for these colors, if I were going to make it for real, I'd use the TAG pearl purple of course which is a "bluer" purple...this is almost a wine color.

I LOVE the unicorn in pearl! Metina, if you can order a similar one, I'd (be broke) but happy!

Pearl Teal & Pearl Pink

Post by Denise Cold on Tue Nov 08, 2011 3:14 pm

Here's a split with TAG Pearl Teal & Pearl Pink and they make a FABULOUS blend in the middle. Princess and Pirates used it for a mask and it looked fabulous.

Now I just need a party. Smile
