This is my competition. It's her profile picture on her facebook page. Really, she's not the worst face painter (even in the area), but not so good at full face designs. Her specialty is tiny swirlies and flicks of mixed colors around the eye.

My 10yo paints better faces than that.

And...at that stage I wasn't even 'properly' face painting. It was that event that made me purchase face paint! She was woeful. Seriously, all the parents asked me if she was on something. Even told my hubby that he had to give her the final payment b/c if I talked to her there was a risk that I might kill her.

I've only been painting for a couple of months and still really learning, but even I have done better faces.

Good news was that I wrote a rather terse email of complaint to the owner of the business with the photo evidence of what a shocking job she did, so I got all my money back and she did a free face painting job at the kids' daycare. So it worked out in the end.

KatsEyes, your daughter looks forlorn in that last picture, not really the look a a child who has been transformed into a princess/fairy/angel.

Epp!! I got to the site, and the pics came up. I scrolled through the first couple thinking "Eh, these aren't so bad" and THEN I got there. I said it out loud "Ooohhhh". LOL

That poor girl with the deashell over her eye... her facial expression is priceless. And how did Cinderella's ugly stepsister get in the blue ballgown?

That Flickr group is something. I kept clicking thinking the next one would be better but no. The native dancer is where I stopped because I think that's as close to good as that slideshow is going to get.
