Balloons for action play

Post by MeeMee on Sat Nov 19, 2011 7:17 pm

Other than the sword, flying mouse, and playing guitar, does anyone know of balloons that are good for action playing? Thanks.

I make wings, magic wands, princess crowns (or any hats really).... I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "action playing" though.

I'm not sure if I'm saying this right but some balloons are for playing with (sword) and others are for looking at (hats). Kids play fighting with swords but hats generally just sit on the head and look good. Unless it's a small child then they will take it off and play with it, maybe. But normally hats just sit on the head. Bracelets would be mostly for show also.

Well, you could make a variation on the sword and call it a light saber/gun/spear/etc... just change the handle area

I love doing swords of all sizes. I try to give the tiniest guy a huge 360 sword. LoL I also do a fun ray gun, and a Magic wand (princess wand with different topper - pirate head, alien head, or stars double stuffed with a metallic 5" round).

For smaller parties I'll outfit the children with shields and helmets with feathers too.

Here's the alien with a ray gun I learned from Simply Shonna at the CT Face Painting Convention 2011. We changed the positioning of the hand on the ray gun since this photo. I especially love the Betallatex Caterpillar balloons for this alien, butterflies, and snails.

I see kids playing pretend with every balloon animal I make... I prefer when they are NOT smashing the balloons against eachother and everything else... just means it pops sooner and either I'm staying overtime or they are demanding a free replacement.
