Help with a simple gingerbread man

Post by Misha on Sun Nov 20, 2011 3:55 pm

Can anyone help me out with a gingerbread man cheek art? confused My sons teacher wants me to paint the class (more than 21 2nd graders-yikes) for a performance they're giving. The song they're singing is about gingerbread men so that's what she'd like me to do. I'm sure I could change her mind if I have too, but I like to give it a good try before doing that. I did try some earlier today, I forgot to take pics of course, but I just wasn't happy with them. Thx for any help you all could give!

Have you thought about doing a design like from the book "pick your nose"? So the man's head is on the forehead, the body goes down the nose, the arms go over the eyebrows, and the legs on the cheeks? That would be super cute- because they have a little movement to it then!http://www.amazon.com/Pick-Your-Nose-Margi-Kanter/dp/1450775853

You know how the BadA** stencil name bothers some people? That book name has the same effect on me. Neutral

But the gingerbread face above is cool!

Here's a mask I do (inspired by whobwhate)... I honestly think it will take less time to do 25 simpler versions of a mask or a full face than it would to do 25 cheek arts....

Thx for the answers guys! Full face or masks are still pretty rare around these parts and as I was doing this without getting parental approval first I didn't want to sent kids home with a SURPRISE! for their parents!

I ended up giving the kids in his class five options -snowflake, spider w/santa hat, Rudoulf, snowball splated against the face, and one more option that I'll be darned if I can remember right now! 17 kids in appx. 45 minutes, of course narrowing down the options helped tremendously. I'm pretty new to fp-ing so this was a great test of my speed!
