Hello from Alaska!
Hello everyone! I found this forum while searching for a face painting head to buy (good old Google!) and haven't been able to stop reading the posts! I can tell I will learn a lot about face painting from this forum!
My name is Kris and I've lived in Alaska for 25 years. I live in a small semi-bush community and started doing cheek art in my art business. I'm not new to painting, I've taught One Stroke painting for five years in the states capital (I have to travel 90 miles to get to by ferry) and locally as well. I decided that OS painting is well adapted to face painting so I've branched out into it as well. I don't have a lot of opportunity to face paint and so don't have anyone who will stand still long enough for me to practice on. Hence the need for a painting head! I'll be looking around for some Christmas cheek art designs to try for an open house coming up in two weeks that I volunteered to help at the museum I work at.
Thanks already to all the sharing that goes on here! And hello from snowy Alaska!

Re: Hello from Alaska!
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Wish I had more time to spend on the forums... and I'm going to make a concerted effort too because I need cheek art ideas for Christmas for next Saturday's open house at the museum I work at! If any of you want to send along your website to me I'm a very visual person! And I ADORE looking at other's websites! Thanks again!
Re: Hello from Alaska!
I've always wanted to go to Alaska! The pictures and nature shows I have seen are all so beautiful. Maybe I'll take an Alaskan cruise one day.
Great to have you on the forum. My website is linked to one of those icons under my Avatar, just click.
Not too much cheek art, but maybe some cute things for you to see.

Re: Hello from Alaska!
Well, Jody, if you ever take a cruise, make sure you stop by Haines, Alaska because that's where I'm at! We don't get as many cruise ships as other communities but that keeps us unique too!
Thanks for your website! I'm off to see how talented you are and how far I have to go yet!
