Tomorrow is it
Tomorrow is the fundraiser for my daughter's friend. I'm a little (okay) a LOT nervous. I've done my homework, got my stuff stocked, (I hope.) I know I will forget something, but since the event is close to home I can always send my daughter home to get whatever it is. LOL I wish my hubs wasn't working a double, but oh well. This is the very first time painting anyone beside family. I made an extremely short list for the kids to pick from. LOL I can only cross my fingers and hope for the best!
Wish me luck!!!!!!!

Fun!... don't worry about the nerves... absolutely normal. You will have a great time and it will go so fast. Then you'll be looking forward to doing it all again. Don't forget to take photos!
Re: Tomorrow is it
Good luck and have fun. I know how you feel my first gig is on Wednesday at a school. Only 600 odd kids split over the day to possibly paint !!!!what have I got myself into lol

Re: Tomorrow is it
I don't even know how many kids I painted! I didn't have time to count!
I know I painted slooowwwww... There were a few parents that complained because of the wait. But it was all for donation and my thought was if they didn't want to wait for a donation for a little girl who was battling cancer they could go away. I took my time with the kids and I think I painted only 10 things besides butterflies....and I kinda suck at butterflies.........LOL I painted from 2:30pm to 7:30pm only moving off of a folding chair when my son puked all over.
My 10yr old daughter took him home. She was helper (read water changer) I had a few parents ask if I did birthday parties.
I had some parents try to talk me into using acrylic paints, because they are easier and I had my paints dumped on the ground a couple of times. But all in all it went good and I was proud of my work, it wasn't near any of your guys quality, but it was okay and everyone seemed happy with it!
I did steal someone's idea (sorry!) for the one eyed snowman. It was so cute I couldn't help myself.
You have all been such a help Thank you!!!!!!!!

Re: Tomorrow is it
I am glad you had fun...and in lines, there is nearly always one parent who complains about the timing... but face painting is not obligatory.
