The perfect storage/transportation for brushes?

Post by Fun2Play on Mon Dec 12, 2011 7:35 am

Would this not be the perfect solution for storing brushes? I've been thinking about this type of thing, but these people have made something better than I could have imagined. Does anyone use something similar?

On closer inspection, I think I may need a longer version. Not that I have an extreme amount of brushes, but I think I could fill that one pretty easily Smile

You can also use crochet needle rolls... they are available commercially or there are patterns.

I have a couple I picked up somewhere.

My makeup brush roll was custom made by my mom... it's BIG!

I got a brush roll really cheap at Michael's and it's huge, I don't think I'll ever fill it.

How hard would they be to make. I'm not a sewing wiz, but i can sew a straight line.... hmmmm.... may have to add this to my ever growing list of things to do. That one with the blossom is pretty Sharon.

MUAs use makeup brush rolls. Anymore, you can find them anywhere.

I usually just throw my brushes in an art brush box and place it upright in the bottom of my fatmax.

The majority of my brushes are in an ice tube tray. Just haul it out and its ready to go. Using a scrapbook case similar to Lisa Joy Young's setup

I have a roll for some extra round brushes and a case that folds in half. Metina sells it and I love it. It keeps my flat brushes perfectly flat.

Wow I just love the towel made into a brush holder idea. Looks like you used a large hand towel? Thanks for the great idea, will work for me! Smile

Specially love the towel-brush holder, because you can take your dirty brushes in it home, and wash the brushes properly AND the towel!!
I'm going to make a nice one myself, I think!

I recently bought a Mehron brush holder and I absolutely love it! I have a system whereaas as soon as a brush is used during a gig it goes back in the case but on the outside of the elastic so at the end of a gig if I haven't used a brush I don't have to clean it, I also have a plastic cylander which is perfect for transporting use brushes home in - I just collect up all the brushes but them in the case and throw them in my bucket with the sponges and they are protected on the trip home.
