Bridal Parties

Post by ChaCha on Fri Dec 16, 2011 4:46 pm

Anyone successfully doing these now or in the past? I've seen some wonderful artwork and am hoping to include this area in my 2012 goals. Would love to hear what (how) you're doing them. We have an upcoming bridal show, and Im considering a booth to promote at least glitter tattoos for the bachelorette party......

I've done a bachlorette recently, it was a ton of fun! A group of ladies, hanging out at their hotel having a couple of cocktails before hitting the town for the night. They all got a glitter tat on their chest, and fancy eyes painting. Just think beautiful swirls and curls....lots of glitter. I loved it!! (And so did they, they have called me for 3 more events since then! LOL)

Shannon....did you do formal training for makeup? Everyone always asks me if I do makeup. Mine alwasy looks pretty good...lol..., but not sure I could do everyone elses. Gamezgirl that's excellent! I need to learn/practice free hand glitter tats. I have a supply of the lower back ones, but havent done any for other than friends/family...

Oh yeah, I have a diploma in Make-Up artistry and was a working make-up artist before I started face painting. I do everything.

(bowing) Shannon, that's awesome! If I wanted to look into something like that for my area, what's the "title" is it like an esthetician? Are the cosmetology schools who would offer that or.....?

Oh absolutely try anything you like! My only 'uggo' in this one is the florals one. she was already kinda tipsy and she was a 'and with the white swirls and.....' client. This is great usually, but this was a time limit and 20 ladies and then off to the bar when the limo arrived (not all were heading out....some just went for this portion of the evening) and I just sorta feel I let myself down on that one. Especially when I know I could have done this

Never flattering but always humbling to see your 'aww crud' moments!!

It's still a beautiful design, but I do understand. We are our own worst critic!
