Just saw this thread and I'm probably too late! Embarassed

Love the design and colors are gorgeous!

Most times, I only do one or two designs based on the theme. It's very rare that they actually want the design though! Laughing I was just at a party for Tangled and the birthday girl wanted a butterfly! Rolling Eyes

Wonder what it would look like with just a wavy line of gold bling as an outline?

WHEW! That was a HUGE learning experience! So much FUN, but made me realize how much I have to learn! I guess I have to start somewhere though. Thank you all so much for your advice on the design. So funny as only 1 girl got the sunset! The rest wanted flower designs. I ended up lowering the horizon line (thanks for that suggestion!) and doing some teardrops to tie it into the eye, then added pink on the opposite eye with a flower and teardrops.

Below are pics from the party that I took and put together in a collage (used Picasa) to send to the bday girl in a note (per suggestion on the forum-thank you!!). You all are such a wealth of knowledge! THANK YOU for being so generous to share your expertise with a newbie like me.

I have a lot of work to do with placement of flowers, line work, etc. I think in my effort to try to make the all a little "different" I ended up with wacky flower placement and in hindsight should have maybe practiced two versions of the flowers and then just allowed the color to be the difference between them rather than the design. Even though the designs were not "perfect," the girls seemed thrilled - the magic of face painting. I realized I just need to keep on practice, practice, practice to get faster and have "cleaner" looking designs. Thank you everyone for your encouragement.

Here's from my flower craze last winter & some from over this summer. Most have used different rainbow, arty or prismacakes & flatbrush techniques.
