what to do with scraps?
I no longer buy palettes (snazaroo, 8 color) but my company has quite a few where there are two or three colors only half used but everything else is pretty well used up. Is there a way to melt down some of the colors and combine all of them into one container? I have lots of green, yellow and orange that I'd hate to just toss. I've had the colors get gummy on me before, presumably due to heat and humidity but I'm not sure how to have that effect on purpose. Has anyone successfully done this?
Re: what to do with scraps?
I used mine to make splits. Stack them together and then cut
Or, simply smush them all (same color) together into one container. No need to melt. If they get gummy, let them air dry. Then....they'll get crumbly ...lol.. in which case I have had luck with adding a few drops of glycerine to my spray bottle of water and then spraying on them. pps Welcome to the forum! I have learned A LOT from all the great members

i would have to agree... make some splits. I have the same problem with the leftover paint in a tub but that is usually because the rest of it was cut out for splits

I make split cakes or just mash then together to make a full pot of paint. I try to stick to the same brands/colors as to not effect my insurance.
