Re: THANKS GUYS! Your compliments (and tons of cookies) saved my Christmas!
Wow, thanks everyone!I wasn't sure about how they would come out and I'm very happy with the result
I painted them with "glasa" (sorry, I don't know the English word: it's beaten egg white until stiff and icing sugar) and number 1 and 2 round brushes. I found paintig with beaten egg harder than my usual paints but I really enjoyed it! Thanks again and yes, I fear I'll be busy for Valentine's Day, Easter,... Sweetly tired!

Pilareta - Congratulations! Your children are going to be soooooooo happy with their presents! We call the egg white frosting "royal icing" it dries brick hard. I cant wait to try painting with it!

Fantastic news!
Your work is so gorgeous, I'm sure it could turn into a steady line of work for you if you wanted it to (maybe even an online order thing - why not? - set up your own website and get it going! I bet you could make some meggah moolah - personalized cookies and theme/seasonal cookies etc. sent out in cute little boxes! How exciting!)

Wow, those are so pretty. there are a few online shops (Etsy) that do these for parties and weddings even. I think you should get it going, add some monograms and you are set! way to go, pretty inspiring! Almost makes me want to start baking - almost.

Thanks, thanks again! (I'm flattered
). Great ideas and advices everyone!
Lorrin, there are some online shops in Spain too where you can order your customized cookies for birthdays, weedings,... I can't leave my current job (I love it and work schedule allows me to be with my kids in the afternoon) but I think it would be great if we could serve online some orders.
And Maggie, what kind of ornaments were you thinking about? I'm open to any ideas. This forum is always an inspiration! (Btw "A-o Nuevo" ? What happened to your Ñ ? Jajaja. ¡Feliz AÑO Nuevo también para ti y los tuyos!

Re: THANKS GUYS! Your compliments (and tons of cookies) saved my Christmas!
I was thinking about non edible cookie ornaments, they look like real cookies and are covered with something that looks like crystallized sugar. I would hang yours on my tree in a heartbeat but they would not last.
There are others made with bone china and then painted like these (scroll down to see the snowflakes) http://www.positivelybeauty.com/style-guide-of-the-week-christmas-ornaments/
And the painted glass ornaments.
Oh and the # is to substitute the n with the ~, don;t know how to do that with our keyboards hahahaha.

Wow, Maggie, your link gave me some great ideas for my cookies! I'm thinking about laces and prints right now and those hand painted snowflakes seem easy to do... Sure they will last longer than my cookies ...Sometimes mine disappear in the way from oven to table!!
(I think my kids don't agree to change the biscuits for clay though.LOL!)
