Designs 4 Teenage Boys!!!

Hey everyone, so lately at gigs have been getting lots of boys wanting to get painted but more arm designs... does anyone have any pics that they would like to share??? When I say teens I'm thinking around the 14 - 19 year olds.... have ad requests for barbed wire arm bands etc!!! HELP!!! Need inspiration!

just read your post and did this just quick now it is done with Tag magpie altgougt any white grey black split would work, a few white highlights on joins and some black wash shadows

it looks hard but it is super easy literally s the s then flick down, sort of dot and flick up - and I like blackwash you dont need it.

forgot to mention it is done with the tag sise 6 flat brush, and using the narrow part only, and I pick up just a hint of black. I blackwash it as It is really quick to do the design it self so you have time (plus going through a stage of blackwash as we do)

Lollyjean, why don't you try some graffiti/tattoo arms - Wiser style. Check out his work, it's amazing. He's got a tutorial on Fabatv that would be popular with that age group. My boys have even ASKED me to paint them the last couple of days once I showed them what I was trying to do!!

This is 3-minute version crossed eye mean bull dog and flame skull. Other ideas are scorpion, dagger with snake, & winged skull.

alright I normally wouldn't post as I am still trying to perfect these but as you liked my barbed wire you could try this.

and I have been awake most of the night doing christmas stuff and am very tierd so you can see I'm getting sloppy compared to when I posted the others)

This can be done w/ footballs, baseballs, basketballs, etc.


I do this dagger & snake a lot now & need a better photo of it. Teen boys love it on their arm.

Start studying a lot of tattoo designs on google images.

what do you want the SBS on?
out of the second images the first one is ssss for row then stuff over the top as follows
i.e flickup -turn & pull then lift (make barb/ arrow shape) then flick, and flick then for the end flick down, turn &pull then lift (that would be upside down arrow/barb)



the second one is basket weave i.e. down-across-down
new line across - down- across
new line down-across-down
new line across - down- across
etc, etc

I use it in masks sometimes and have plans for it with bodys when I get a volunteer.

Get a tattoo book for inspiration, or google images. Teen boys really like tat images. Even on the face ala Mike Tyson.
The tattoo books are awesome, and reasonable expense wise. even the girls like to look through and pick out designs.

This was inspired by someone I think on this forum, but I can't remember. Was very popular at a spring event for a high school. Just customized with whatever the kid requested (so long as it wasn't dirty or offensive!)

From tattoo book. Kid requested Killer Band written on the ribbon, so just customize whatever they think sounds cool. Again, so long as it isn't offensive.

Love the barbed wire, the mean bulldog (so cute!) the cross with the waving flag (nice movement), the dragon and the name tag idea especially! And the tattoo book inspired designs rock too!

This is on the face, but easily could be anywhere. Its the Logo for Skrillex (a dj/musician)

And this is on my hand, but again anywhere. I learned how to do a simple spider by Pashur. I highly recommend his classes.
