No wonder face painting is so popular in Australia...you guys are allowed to have unicorns in your own backyard.... hence an unlimited supply of pretty paints harvested from their colorful poo. You are so lucky!

Oh my, you gals are too much!

Oh by the way I ordered the Fairy Floss and I am loving it!! I actually like the strip of white in it, as the colors on either side kind of blend into it, can't wait to do a rainbow kitty with it!

Well this has been a rather enlightening thread for a newbie! Now I know the origins of face paint and gltter I can source some of my own! I'm in Australia too - maybe I can ask for a unicorn for my birthday?!

Yeah, well... the spiders: I live in 'the bush' so we have quite a few close encounters with spiders, snakes, ticks and leeches. But, surprisingly, you get used to them and I haven't been bitten by either a snake or a spider ... YET. It's the ticks that are the biggest concern really. They can be deadly for pets and can also cause a severe allergic reaction in some people.

My unicorn's name is Sargent and I'm too cheap for photoshop.

And to think I was just coming here for a quick look tonight, no plans to comment. Can't help myself and way off topic too!

I have been bitten by 3 spiders myself - none of the major ones -1 hurt a bit. 1 left a scar the other well ant bites have hurt more.
being stung by a hornet 9 times was much worse
and bitten by a centapede really hurt.
stung by a blue bottle hurt a bit- It felt worse as I was a child
ticks are annoying.
leaches creepy but painless.
But as for scariest
I would go with the snakes- 1 bottle of anti-venom (tiger/brown) $682
9 years ago and no garuntees. (our old dog)
plus even with a firearm them snakes is scary affraid
let alone when all you have is a spade. not to mention if there fangs break your skin within 3 days of being killed you still can get bit.

I actually knew a guy who got "bit by a dead snake" His son placed it over the door to fall on him as he came home from work- not as toxic but how toxic dose it really need to be.

And from living in the country (22 500 hectares west wyalong - ish) the worst thing that ever got to me, was while moving into a new house, it was not a snake - but a snake skin shead on a floorboard in my house and I didn't know where the snake was. that scared the heck out of me....
