New Year's Eve Designs

Post by plawrie on Mon Dec 26, 2011 10:04 pm

[b]Please..please help.

I have a huge gig on New Years Eve, it an extremely busy event, I've only been painting for a year so this is by far the biggest gig if have ever done, I have heard that the face painting line ups are insane.
So i'm really stressing about getting some fast easy but effective looking New Year's Eve designs, suitable for children. I am starting to get a really good reputation for my painting so I like to leave an impression, please if anyone can help me with design ideas I would be EXTREMELY gratefull.

Thanks
Paula

I do a big New Years Eve event for kids every year. The kids want the same things they always want. They may still request Christmas designs & winter designs.

For New Years you can incorporate 2012 & fireworks into a design...

For adults I do a lot of masks.

Could embellish some of your standbys with dots in different colors like confetti or with "streamers"

Have to agree with Linda...seems like the client is always more impressed with my board than the kids. They always want a spider, shark, butterfly or princess crown rather than some themed design.

I'll give you a link to my quick graffiti youtube video that would make a great 2012 design especially if you have a variety of one stroke cakes. You'll probably have to deal with long sleeves but it could be done on a forearm. (It's one of my first videos so forgive my stupid body in the shot.)

Instead of the flowers you could do firework bursts or streamers or stars.

Good luck,

Cool!

Emma's got a few days off so I'm trying to talk her into another video. I'm actually jealous of her work! This summer I had her almost all to myself and now NOTHING! It's been fun having her home and playing fruit ninja and shopping sales at Walmart and eating junk. Good old fashioned Christmas.
