tutorial on something under the skin?

Post by sweethavenarts on Wed Dec 28, 2011 7:47 pm

Ha ha this is probably why I'm having a hard time finding anything- I'm having a hard time describing it! It looks like you have something under your skin, like robot bits, spiderman or superman, and the skin is ripped open around it. I've seen it a lot, and I've even seen tattoos of it. If anyone can give me a name, point me at pictures, or head me to a tutorial or SBS, I would appreciate it!

I love doing this look & actually got to do a wolfe brothers pumpkin on my son in 2010 (I may get to paint him 1xper year:-)

The trick for these is to make a wash of black paint(so it's very watery looking... like water color paints) & shade the edge of the design. You can also enhance the edge by adding a blood colored edge.
