Help...can't find some stuff!!

Post by Ester K-D on Wed Jan 04, 2012 6:35 pm

Hi All....Happy New Year everyone....Before the holidays I saw two items I should've copied to my files right away...but, I thought I would remember them...(yea right!)...1) I think it was the lovely Suzy Sparkle...who talked about/showed a new berry wine metallic type paint - I loved the red-purple look of it...and now when I want to order it...I can't seem to find it! 2) there was a forehead winter painting of a melting snowman (I have the snowman with blue waves etc. below it...)...this one was all white....with the head in the middle still intact....but the rest of it was melting down the face....*sigh* thank you to any and everyone who can help....

The melting snowman was in the December Challenge (Holiday Whimsey)page 7 of the submissions.

Was it a TAG color?

Hi Whobwhate....I checked the "holiday designs" and the one there wasn't it...if I remember....it was virtually all white...over the eyebrows and down the bridge of the nose the melting white snow looked like running melted ice cream...the snowman head was basically all that was left and it was just starting to warp in the melt....
The berry wine (I believe metallic)...I'll cjeck TAG colours...I'm sure it was called berry wine but I've not found this name...I'll re-check all the Tag colours... Thanks for coming to my aid! Smile

christelize wrote:Here is my whimsical holiday submission called Melting Snowman. I saw a cookie made like this once and thought it would be a cute face painting. I took my time with it for the contest but I believe it can also be in a quick version as well using a sponge and less outlining. Here it is, hope you enjoy!

Tools:
Round Brushes: Sizes 8, 4, 3 and 0

Paints:
DFX Colors: White, Black, Metallic Green, and Metallic Baby Blue
Snazaroo Colors: Red, Brown, and Orange
Mama Clown White Glitter (didn't show up too well in the photos but in person it give a nice effect)

Make a melting snow background on forehead, down nose and sides of face and circle for snowman's head in center of forehead:

Add blue highlights:

Add details to the snowman and "body" (nose, eyes, mouth, arms, scarf, arms, mittens and coal buttons - I totally forgot to put the coal buttons "floating" down the front so if you can just picture it in your mind because I'm a little under the weather right now!):

Outline finely with black, as much or as little as you want (I went a little crazy here - next time I will use less!) and add glitter if you want:

I went to the original thread, clicked on the post title then hit the quote button..that's why it's in a black box...and then pasted it in the reply box.
