Thanks for the advice, everyone! I used my dark blue for butterflies and Spiderman and after all that stress everything went fine, haha. My first butterfly's Mum actually asked me not to use too much black, I suggested the blue and she preferred it. Phew!

I was using my brown to play around and practice my line work (since I barely used it, but seem to fly through my black paints)- my daughter wanted a butterfly and I just used the brown instead of bothering to get the black... I think it looked nicer

As you can see I did a spidey girl with pink and purple - the good thing about running out is that it forces us to think outside our comfort zone. Good Luck!

Thanks, Gamezgirl, I used blue for Spiderman and it wasn't too bad! I never would have thought of using brown, Eireannah, sounds nice and I really like your Spidey girl! Thanks for all your help, everyone. I do realise I should have been more prepared and not let myself run out of black - lesson learned Smile

Dear clowngirl:
The silver I use now is from FAB. I got it for free from Silly Farm for trying some FAB. The FAB smells too perfumy. Psalmbook recommended that I air it out. It has been sitting on my shelf for over a month and it is still aromatic, yet a little more tolerable. FAB paint is so creamy and it has good coverage. I would not order it on a regular basis due to the smell.
The Mehron silver powder with the Mehron mixing medium is an excellent silver. I have mixed the silver powder into some crappy silver from Kryolan Aquacolor (suggestion from another FPF) and it created a great silver.

Silver does not seem to age very well. Yellow is another color that seems to crumble after a time. The busier I get...the less I run into the problem because I think I use it before it "expires".

elreannah has a very good point regarding us all thinking and painting outside our comfort zone.
xoxo

Thanks Fesspenter, I've never tried Fab, what does it actually smell like? I love the smell of Paradise though know some hate it. I'm going to have to practise with my silver, I don't use it much but I like the idea of mixing it and using it for spiderman and maybe sharks. I seem to use a lot of yellow and have just ordered a Tag one for dots. Livethedream, I did call Tag Body Art and have some white, black, yellow, pink sponges and a one-stroke brush to try Smile. Did I mention that all this time I had half a cake of Snaz black sitting in my room unbeknownst to me? Haha. Not ideal, but still, BLACK!

The smell of FAB....
"It smells like my Aunt Maud's bra drawer, if I had an Aunt Maud".

I don't remember who wrote that quote on the FPF, it made me laugh so hard.
