Friday the 13th gig.....looking for ideas SUCCESS!!! A BUNCH OF PICS TO SAY THANK YOU : )

Hi gang, I've just booked a gig for this Friday.....yep it's the 13th, so that's the theme. It's at a pub/club so all adults. I'm painting the staff and then hanging around for 3 hours for whoever is game. I'm just about to go check out FABATV coz I remember the Wolfe Bros did a Jason mask which will be perfect. Besides zombie type faces and general gore what else do you think I could store up in my memory for the night? Ta x

Sounds so fun!!! Are people dressing up? If not... you will probably not be doing a ton to match the "theme". Like any other party, regardless of the theme, you end up painting what you always paint. Pretty eye designs for women.. tribal (if any) for men. Anything UV for clubs.

Thanks Katrina, yes, fun, fun!! Not sure if it's a dress up thing or not. Do you think I should bring a small picture selection type thing, or just take random requests....with me stearing them in the direction of what I can paint ; ) I was thinking of just taking requests. Feeling so much braver now that I've just finished a 5 day shopping centre gig hehehe.

I did a vampires ball this year, and thought I would be doing all kinds of special junk, but it turned out to be all over the place. I bet if you know how to do the jason mask and typical gore, and then the usual stuff, you are good to go!

So much fun! I found that people who are having a good time drinking tip really well too! Seed that tip jar, and make it a big, clear jar!

Not sure if you'll get any Friday the 13th requests, but if you do, you could "kill" a few people in various manors. Make them all victims of Jason

I'd google it & do all the "unlucky" stuff, black cats, etc.

A black cat full-face (with yellow eyes on the eyelids) would be really cool! Even black cat cheek art would be neat.

Sexy spiderweb mask popped into my head last night while dreaming face paint lol! I was stuck on the gore type genre....just like that eyeball design Linda, great, thanks. Allrighty. I hope if I get the staff looking awesome, more people will want to get into it.....specially once the drink starts flowing! Thanks everyone!

Wasn't sure what to expect.....but, man, I had an absolute blast!!! Painted non stop, was asked to stay an extra hour and for as long as I wanted as long as more peeps want to get painted up. I bailed at 11.30 after painting for 4 1/2 hrs. Could have stayed longer, I turned people away to get outa there. I was sooooo exhausted, was blanking on ideas and wanted to get out of there before it got busier and messier if you know what I mean. Apparently a different crowd starts to come in after midnight and it was already picking up when I left. Painted nothing small, mostly guys, and all in theme!!! I didn't take any pics to choose from, but wished I took a list of ideas for myself coz I just went blank after awhile and some were asking for 'whatever you think'.....I tried to push the Jason mask at the start but then completely forgot about it. Dam!! Really wanted to do that one and any number of guys later on would have gone for it. Also repeated a few things coz my brain was just fried. Didn't even think of the black cat mask and girly spidey web thing I was going to do. I went home with ringing in my ears (VERY loud grungy music - i think the music might have killed off a few brain cells, I was consentrating so hard to tune it out hahaha) and nearly lost my voice...resorted to writing on my hand with paint to communicate with a few guys near the end lol Anyway, best gig ever!! Everyone was super nice, really appreciative, most people shook my hand to say thankyou, a couple of hugs and a tip at the end! Woowhoo! Appreciate your help. So here's a bunch of pics for ya. xx










This guy wanted something with fangs....he suggested maybe evil clown kinda thing, I saw something like these eyes on google sometime in the last week, and it popped into my head. He loved it! yay

These guys were so nice. They were playing in a band together at midnight and wanted to all be turtles! One asked to be the rat. I tried really hard to channel Kim Brennans rat she did recently, but failed. lol I didn't want to churn out crap so I suggested the fourth turtle. They were happy, but I felt so bad I couldn't deliver for them.







ended up painting lots I had no idea about....google images on phones became the rage.
