"I was painted by..." stickers - GOOD IDEA?

I was ordering some stuff from Vista today and need a few bucks to get free shipping. I ended up getting a few sheets of round 2" stickers.

I customized them so say, "I was painted by..." then my business name and my web site.

I plan to use them during fairs and ppf events. After each child (maybe even adults) is finished, I will give them a sticker. I figure I will get some advertising at the event but more importantly, children love stickers even if they are just simple ones like these so they will be more likely to still have them when they return to their parents. I think I plan to still hand out business cards, with paint removal instruction on the back, but I wondered what you all would think of the idea. Good, bad, blah? Thoughts?

Love the idea!!! So simple yet so effective! Kids will love it...my daughter loves free stickers even when she has no idea what they say..

I do this Only at PPF or events where there are other painters, though. (And not where we're working TOGETHER, if that makes sense.)

Sometimes the parents will say something like, "Here, let's put this sticker on your shirt so you can advertise" or "Good marketing idea!", and I'll answer "You got it!" Haha. Clearly a marketing tactic, but hey, a sticker is a sticker.

They're actually business card sized, as well, not gigantic like this.

Yep...very good idea. There is a clown in my area who hands out round stickers to all the kids after her shows. This makes the kiddies feel like they are special and got something from a clown. Either way...great advertising.
The wash instructions are a great idea too.

I was thinking of having the paper bracelets printed with my business name on them for birthdays so that when a kid comes home with their face painted Mom would know who did it. I would be using them for line control (like I already do) but this way it would be secondary advertising.

I think it's a good idea. I might have to do something like that for fairs this summer.

Great ideas. I used those stickers to label my paints. I found so many people touching my paints and reading the backs. It seemed like they were taking mental notes so they could buy some maybe. So now when they turn over anything on my setup, there is a ClassicClown.com sticker on it

I use Vista print labels that say "I was painted by Ms. Lorie" with cleaning instructions and my website. I like to do this especially at festivals where there is more than one face painting booth. Every little bit of advertisement helps!

I think it would also be perfect for birthday parties. Often the mom asks if she can have a handful of business cards to throw in the loot bags, but the sticker idea would work just as well! That way every parent whose child went to the party will know who you are... AWESOME!
