Thx for the tip about brown paper bag! Seems to me like a brush will drag on a brown paper and give a more realistic feel to painting. Great idea!

I use wax paper on a clipboard. If I like it I laminate it at the daycare I work at. I my have to try unbleached wax paper or the shipping paper for better color.

I tried this, I just put the face into one of those plastic pocket that you put into ringbinders. It works great! Obviously doesn't have the same facial contours as a real face, and different feel to it... But It'll help me plan out designs and speed up my work a practice 'muscle memory'!

If you just want to practice your brush strokes without wasting paint, you can dip the brushes in water and practice on those amazing paper bags. Wink Let dry and reuse!

These are awesome ideas, guys - keep em comin!

Geekophile, I love that you use an adult male for practice LOL! too funny. But really those can be the hardest to paint with the facial stubble and all...even though you obviously don't get that here. Razz
