Post by sammie star creation on Mon Jan 16, 2012 1:39 am

Last night I went online to look for another option beside the fatmax and i came across the express Art Bin Tote at www.overstock.com the price was AUD$110.40 do you think it worth paying for the trolley tote?

Looking at them, I have never been impressed by the sturdiness factor--they look to me like a student's organizer, or for in a studio, but wouldn't hold up professionally. But then again, I am not really kind to my equipment & have to truck it through 4 seasons.

I would like to see the inside. Is it just drawers?

The main benefit I see to the fatmax is that people use it as a table as well. If it's not going to do that, I prefer having my own system of two cases and a bag that I just carry (less heaviness in one place to lug or wheels to get caught in snow/on stairs/etc.)

I have the Art Bin, but just ordered the Fat Max based on some reviews I read on another thread. I like the room that the Art bin has, but the board supports on the side of the square bottom piece broke the fabric in probably the 2nd month of use. I'm not sure if I put too much equip in the top container, but for over $100, I expected much better quality. That being said, and almost 2 yrs later, I am still using the Art Bin, but it looks terrible with the boards sticking out of the bottom.
