Dude, did I intro myself yet???

Whoa! I have no idea if I've already done this or not... ain't that nutty?

Okay, so my name is Ashley Pickin and I live in good ol' [Hampton]Virginia, USA! woo!

I've been painting people since I was 19 and I just went to my first big face painting conventions this year and I had so much freakin fun!

I do this full time for a living, and I go to school full time at an art education major at Old Dominion University. My concentration is in ceramics and boy do I love that clay stuff!

Any and all questions are welcome toward me, and I love to share and teach!

Hi Ash, from Kat in New Zealand. I'm a new FP - just started a couple of months ago, though I dabbled a bit with bad paints (didn't know any better) about a year ago. Got discouraged with the poor results and quit until I found these forums and the good advice re paints on them.

I love your pirate avatar. Do you mind if I try out ideas gained from looking at your pirate?

I'm curious - what is this "digital facepainting" that you mention in your gallery? Is it altering the photos via Photoshop or something?
