Imagine that you have a bulletin board and you use it to pin things that interest you, maybe you are planning a party and you've ripped some recipes from a food magazine, and some decor from another magazine, and a few DIY invitation instructions from a website you printed, and you have them pinned to keep them together and maybe you're also constantly looking for inspiration for your face painting, so you may have taken a picture of some random tattoo so you stick that on your board, and just the other day you saw a website that you bookmarked there were some really neat safari pictures of zebras and you wanted to look at it again the next time you practice your zebra so you printed a pic and pinned it on your board...AND ON AND ON...
Basically it's a really neat interactive web based Pin board and people can follow your boards and you can follow other people's boards. You can also waste HOURS upon HOURS just looking at random cool stuff to pin. It's a strangely addictive time waster, But I've found it quite useful.

Yeah, they're going through growing pains. Too many people too fast for their servers to handle. But it's getting better. Evenings are pretty glitchy because EVERYONE is on at the same time.
