Love all the ideas BUT tipping here in Australia is just not done. Not in resturants, pubs or anywhere all you America's do it. Took some getting used to when I visited the USA (Las Vegas and LA) Embarassed

. BUT if it ever catches on here, I'll be ready with a jar!!! Smile

I'm in Australia and find that if it's pay per face, people will simply tip when they pay if they're going to tip, no need for a jar. There are some situations where Aussie tip - restaurants, cab-drivers, the pizza guy etc

In honor of Earth Day this weekend, I made a new sign for my tip jar. It says:

Save the planet! Recycled dollars make good tips.

Just love that idea. Would be cool if I could find a clear globe...hmmm...maybe a clear plastic fish bowl painted like a globe (with transparent glass markers?)

This is my tip jar that I finished today. (Although I am going to touch up the lid rim) Inside is a glowing/flashing "icecube. My big gig coming up will have "mood lighting" so this will hopefully stand out!
