Re: Shining Feather Soft Scrub Brush Basin
Before we all jump on the scrub brush bandwagon, just wanted to add that Denise mentioned to me that the scrub brush gave her rounds the "fly aways" and she had to condition them. FYI

Re: Shining Feather Soft Scrub Brush Basin
I am not seeing that with mine, I hope I don't, but I will be looking for it for sure! I use ivory soap and alcohol at gigs so I use and master preservative and soap to condition, and Brush Shaper regularly at home to keep my brushes conditioned.
Re: Shining Feather Soft Scrub Brush Basin
I don't know why it was my round brushes...my squares and filberts felt fine. Maybe it's the way they are constructed with lots of layers. It was more of a rough feeling not splayed or anything but I haven't conditioned my brushes in the past either so that might have to be part of my routine.
We'll have to keep updating this thread as we use the baths at gigs.

Re: Shining Feather Soft Scrub Brush Basin
Maybe I'll save them up and bring a bag of the scrub brushes with me to FABAIC and hand them out if anyone wants some. Otherwise, feel free to PM how many you want me to mail you.
Re: Shining Feather Soft Scrub Brush Basin
Gilded Cat, I pm'd you yesterday. I'd love a couple of those scrub brushes. Just let me know how much to send you for postage. Thanks!
Re: Shining Feather Soft Scrub Brush Basin
FYI! the velcro did not hold up, I am going to go look for the aquarium glue, something that will not leach anything into the water. My brushes are still looking good.

Using which all night long... the aquarium glue?

HaHa... I'd probably come home with a puppy and a kitty, too!

TheGildedCat wrote:I have access to numerous discarded surgical scrub brushes. They come with a sponge attached, but it's very easy to remove. I'd be happy to ship them to anyone just for the cost of shipping. I hate to throw so many away, but we throw away usually 2 per surgery (if two people scrub in), and there are usually several surgeries per day. They're not used on patients, only on the doctor's hands. Let me know if you'd like some and how many.
This is what they look like:

Again, the sponge pulls right out.
Julie, how much to send 2 or 3 over my way? v4n 0w3
Re: Shining Feather Soft Scrub Brush Basin
Kristal, will you let me know the answer? It's probably similar to what I'll pay and I haven't gone to search locally for them yet, so curious.

Re: Shining Feather Soft Scrub Brush Basin
I was wondering, would one of these work? They are a lot cheaper than the sensory brushes or the medical scrub brushes.
