I just got the Plano rolling box with the drawers from menards and a clear bead box from michaels. A day of repotting later and...I can finally reach everything in my kit, and I think I am finally happy with my set up. I am going to put the Airbrush and glitter tats in the fat max, and we can roll into any event! Thanks soooooo much.

Awww... It is the BEST case ever... I actually think I am going to get another incase down the road I would like to re-do it and they don't carry them anymore...haha

I just got mine too! I haven't loaded it with my stuff but I love just looking at it !

I just hope that when I put it in my car trunk that everything (cakes, glitter, brushes, etc) inside wont mess up.

Part of my plan includes some vlecro...stay tuned! I want to be able to pack it all up in order, and keep my paint in the pots, neat and tidy, with the brushes not getting smushed, and a place for everything, everything in it's place, while I shut down, pack up, and put it away (all before that one parent tries the just one more pleaaaaase.....) and survive the toss into the car on it's side without a wiggle or a crack...test. That is my utlamate goal.

I absolutely LOVE mine. I have the same case. I'm thinking of switching things around a little more like yours. Right now the top has my paints, brush holder, and a binder that holds parental consent forms, insurance documentation, etc. The top drawer is a mess of misc. stuff. (glitter, mirror, stick on jewels...) The next drawer is all my brushes. So many, many beautiful, precious...

Er, um... The third, deeper drawer has all my sponges. The bottom compartment has a roll of paper towerls, baby wipes, a gallon jug of water, my separated smaller (loose) jewels, acrylic sign holders with word menu, "provided by" sign, etc.

I really need to weed it out and only put things I need for the event I'm going to .

Oh, and GOOD IDEA SUZY! I didn't even think of it!

Are the paints in the first drawer stuck to the drawer bottom? LIke with velcro or something?
Do you find your cakes stay in place during transport?

That is my plan FL, to velcro the splits in the first draw, then work with them open. I have a big piece of velcro to secure the large bead box in the lid. The second drawer has my starblends and ods and ends in it. I will probaby velcro them down too. The big drawer has boxes with my jewels, stencils, papers. I am working on the pack up. Trying to figure how to secure the brush holder with a velcro strap to keep the brshes from falling out and getting mashed.

Since I have yet to transport it, I can't say for sure, but when I used my fat max like this, I had the paint pots velcroed down, and they stayed where I put them, even when I tossed the fat max on it's side. My only issues (besides just never quited getting it so that I could reach everything) were that mica powders almost always find a way to leak...always, snaz will crumble and unpot no matter what you do to it (and I still love three snaz colors that I cannot seem to part with) and no mater what you do, if you have a liquid in your kit, at some point, it will leak (the zip lock bag will fail...or something...!)

i have 2 of those boxes they are great I have the fat max also.. and now my husband has the one's from menards...but if i change my mind I can always go back to the one's from menards..i had it 1st and found it to be kinda tall for my new chevy tracker and tippy..but i did bungie it to the back seat by the head rest and it was fine..but a little tall for the new car,, it worked really good in the van i use to have...the fat max fits perfect in my new car..still a little heavy for me, my husband usually loads it up for me...but both cases are amazing for what we all do...

I drive a prius, so eihter one has to lay down This one is way lighter!

i would definately make sure you velcro things down...but i found that the drawers were really great for the paint.....i love that box..as i have both..but the one from menards is much lighter....
