Also, our genius Maggie thought to go to the party supply store and get those mini watercolor party favors- (or the mini playing card favors are a bit bigger.) and use them. They work great.

Not my idea- credit goes to Maggie. Original Post When I went to the store all I could find were the mini card decks- they are a little bigger and work well with sponges. The paint ones I like with my brush.

I actually just went to my local walmart and went to either the tackle box section or you can go to the craft section and they have plenty to choose from!

Yes I went to the local $ store today and they had rectangular plastic boxes all over the store: sewing pins containers, 2 different sized playing cards, an eye glasses repair case, and a travel sewing kit.

I saw something recently where Marcela from Silly Farm was showing new FAB cakes that were packaged in metal tins.

I've seen somewhere online regarding re-using the Altoids tins that you could seal them with something. People were using them for a tiny travel watercolour kit. I can't remember what they sealed them with, or whether that would be something we'd want to do when it's going to come in contact with our paints and eventually skin... But it's food for thought.
Someone else (Marta?) mentioned the concern about tin being an excellent heat conductor and possibly melting your paints in the summer. That would be B. A. D. Sad
