Looking good! I have a few suggestions, I hope you don't mind... I work with web layouts and graphic design stuff at my day-job so it's second nature to me!

I would recommend sticking to only 2 fonts for your website, when possible. Choose one easy to read font, like Arial, for all the body text, and one more decorative or bold font for your headers. I notice you have a different font on every page!

I also find it kind of difficult to read the black text on the vibrant purple background... so maybe changing all your text to white, or using a lighter background might be a good idea.

One more suggestion... try breaking up your text a bit more. Especially on the Home and About page, there are some quite long paragraphs. Most web users read very little text on websites, and just completely ignore or skim through any long paragraphs. So breaking your paragraphs into bite-sized chunks, or lists, or quick pointers may be more effective at holding your potential client's attention!

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me and I'd be glad to help. I hope my suggestions will be of use to you!

Good luck - having a website for face painting is a fabulous tool!

I agree with Janna. The powerful purple was pretty difficult on my eyes, and when the text was black, it was even tougher to read. The white text wasn't so difficult.

This second part is meant very gently, and hopefully won't hurt your feelings. I know you are a true professional and want to put your best out there to market yourself, so I'm offering this next advice as an admiring fan.

I found quite a few grammatical and spelling errors. I'd be very happy to copy and paste your content into a word document, do a little editing and email it to you. PLEASE don't be offended by that! I wouldn't hurt you for a minute because I really respect your work and who you are.

I am super impressed with your training, and think it's awesome that you get to work with your daughter.

Agree with the above Angie. White on purple on one of your pages was much easier on the eyes than the black on purple. Take Diane and Janna up on their offers of expertise...think you'll have an eye-popping, professional site!

I'm not offended at all and would be happy if have the time. Sometimes between this website build and the 3 different club newsletters I have to do all the words start spinning and being a bit dyslexic doesn't help. Thank God computer spell check came along or the spelling would be a lot worst.

Congratulations! I'm hoping to go live this week and man I swear birthing a website is almost harder than birthing a baby! Well for me anyways but I'm a bit of a type A so maybe I've over obsessed a bit... Razz I like your peacock pic in the gallery.

Thanks everyone. Yes it is a bit like birthing a baby. Thanks on the peacock I was inspired by a picture I saw on a google search.

I took some of the advice and Diane's help with spelling and grammar. All the body text is now write. The purple background is purple because our business colors are purple, hot pink, and teal blue. Our tent is purple and we're the only one in the area with a purple tent. It keeps us shaded and dry but doesn't distort the colors your painting.
