Metina I think the gallery is full again

Haven't been able to upload a picture in a week. When you click upload it says "Gallery quaota is full" or some such message again.

well ... made that topic too... but no response....

I sent her a PM. I haven't seen her on the forum much. She may be on holiday or dealing with life the universe and everything.

I already deleted some pics..but no go..

Is this sometimes an issue? I'm new to the forum and wanted to upload a pic or two but it would not work. I got the same message about reaching a quota. We don't each have an amount of personal storage for such things? Sorry if I sound ignorant, this is the only forum I've ever participated in. :0)

Yeah, the gallery keeps deleted pictures for like 30 days in case someone wants them restored. I am sure they would need to contact the site admin to manually get rid of those, but I am sure they are still taking up server storage space... shame. I want to put things in my gallery and really enjoy the gallery feature, but can't.

On the other hand, Metina still doesn't charge us anything for this forum, and sotrage space on servers can get expensive!

I'm sure Metina just has her hands full at the moment with her mom's death. She'll take care of it when she gets back. Can't begin to imagine what she's been dealing with lately.

OH no... my heart goes out to her. I'm new to the forum but Metina, when you are reading this, I am so sorry for the deep deep loss you have just encountered. Life will never be the same, I'm afraid.

I am working on this. I bought 300 extra megabytes of space, for a total of 620 now and we are still full. I have pm'd a few folks to dwindle down to 30 pics or so as well. Where I buy the space, it doesn't tell me how much we have taken up, so I don't know how much extra to buy. There is a limit to what I feel is smart to buy. Because I also have to buy time as well.

I am aware of the issue and will resolve this next week. Thanks for your patience.

Hiya,

Due to the huge number of members wanting to post photos, we are going to limit everyone to no more than 25 photos. I will be cleaning out all pics in all galleries of those with more than 20 photos in one week.

We have over 1000 mb(just purchased another 720 mb and we still only have 24% free) in space in use and each megabyte costs money to obtain. Please be respectfull of others and clean out your galleries. Thanks so much!
