I think that if rthling & ms yoko emailed her for her to delete the pictures then none of us should email her to tell her what she did was wrong. Or to harass her on facebook, Thats unethical & unprofessional of us to do that. This forum is to be friendly to one another & if we ever see stolen pictures then we should PM the owner of the picture. Just my thought. I love you

Thank you! It's absolutely unethical to harass anyone else because we perceive they're committing a faux pas. Copyright issues belong to the person who TOOK the photograph, not any of us. While we all hate to see our pics used without our permission, it's not up to a mob-mentality to correct this issue. The copyright owner can issue a DMCA take down order as necessary - anything else isn't legally useful.

Yes, I'm pretty sad to see the mob mentality this snowballed into. Yes, it was wrong. Yes, she lied when confronted. But not everyone has the ability to humbly own up to our mistakes. Shoot! I've been known to deny wrongdoing when I've felt cornered.
I was hoping to invite her to join us, so she could learn. She obviously WANTS to paint faces. She clearly has good taste in great face art. With guidance and a teachable heart, she could be much better.

I'm sure see has read this forum because she knew about the Mascara issue and took that photo down ..... I think she should spend some time on You Tube looking at tutorials they really help ... I hope she does join us and just ask us for help . When I started I would ask questions all time and Heather and her Staff at Sillyfarm really helped me a lot . I didn't know about this forum.
Before you go out and paint make sure you practice ,practice ,practice , you need to care about your work . First impressions are everything ...... I spend hours PRACTICING ,READING and playing with my paints and brushes ...... I'm still not all that lol! ..... I know painting on myself really helps me.

Thank you
Denise Just I love you

Denise Cold wrote: just a few hours of the right kind of inspiration would have her designs singing....they are a mess right now but in the mess I can see a lot of potential...at least she's "going for it" with full faces. She could be really fantastic with the right paints and some line work training.
D.

I'm glad she took down the photos that didn't belong to her.

However, I really like what Denise said. Denise magnanimously pointed out that she has potential. I felt terrible reading so many posts that were jeering at her work. This community is usually so supportive and encouraging (like Denise's honest and fair comment), and the laughing and pointing made me feel a bit shriveled inside...
I know it was not done to a forum member (as far as we know) and it was out of loyalty to a well-respected forum member, but it still made me uncomfortable... As in, what then do they say about my first attempts, as I am so new and still just beginning...? I'm no painting superstar (yet...hehe). I'm like a baby painter taking her first steps. But I have a passion to learn to become skilled in this. I don't know how long that passion would burn bright before it began to dwindle in the face of such mockery.

Just sayin'.

Maybe I'm out of line to even say it. If so, apologies if you were offended. None meant.

I think the other members were just pointing out the kids unhappy faces. I would be very disappointed if I saw Miss Yokos artwork and when I looked in the mirror, I saw her true work. scratch Honestly, I would probably comment and possible get my money back! It's a pretty big jump from Miss Yokos work. Crying or Very sad It's false advertising!

Miss Yoko is the victim here, not this other woman, who stole and lied. Rolling Eyes If she wants to come on here and make friends, that's fine. I know we are not perfect, no one is. geek

Just wanted to precise, that I never asked for any mob, actually I'm not even the one who initiated the post here. I did what I had to do.
I asked her to remove the pictures and yes I posted on the FB forum 'cause I knew the other pictures were someone else too.

She eventually remove all the pictures, she kinda gave me appologies, but she also took the time to try to make me feel bad telling me that I am apparently a foreign and that I should go get English classes... oh well.

I am the first one to admit that someone can make a mistake, this is why I gave her plenty of time to remove the pictures. I could have take action right away. But, at the end the person doesn't really want to admit the mistake... maybe next time I am not going to be so nice.

Anyway, adventure is over! Life goes on Smile
