Learn FP while you iron!!!

Post by Fun Frog on Tue Jan 24, 2012 11:14 pm

Yes you heard me, while you do the ironing, the dishes, cook dinner, multitasking is the key. Very Happy
I hunt Youtube in the evening while watching the news and just add things that look interesting to the "watch later file". My computer is set up in the centre of my house so I can see it from the kitchen/office area. I set up the ironing board under the aircon vent (its going to hit 40oc today in OZ) sunny , hit Play All and iron as I watch. Then I don't feel guilty about sitting in front of the screen watching face painting for hours at a time plus if you watch the same videos a few times it helps you memorize some techs and designs. Watch all 42 FABATV Tips and Tricks for free via Youtube, they have some great ideas.
Just finished 2 hrs of Youtube and three baskets of iorning YAY!!! cheers
Give it a try.

It's puting a hot metal plate to the husbands and sons business shirts that both have to wear to work every day! If you would like to give it a try, I'm VERY happy for you to come visit Australia. LOL

I refuse to iron anything of my husband's (he knows where the iron is!)...except sometimes, very occasionally I'll iron his hankies for him & tell him I did it as a special treat for him (haha Twisted Evil ) ...But I could definitely use this idea for my laundry-folding viewing.

I would end up doing not a lot of ironing, but a lot of watching!

I second Shannon's comment! Seriously, with about two loads of laundry to do every day, these people are lucky I fold their clothes for them.

I must be inbetween you and your parents generatoins eireannah.Wink
I do iron working business shirts and pants, my work clothes (can't have the teacher looking like she worn her clothes to bed) but do try to buy the 'crinkle look' fabric when I can. BUT NO BEDDING!! My grandmother also ironed bedding, underwear and teatowel and the occasional bath towel. Question
BUT BACK TO THE THREAD!! Now do others multi task to fit all this practice, practice, practice into a busy household Question

Laundry? Ironing? Folding? Putting away? That's husbands job...because he actually likes doing it. cheers

The only time i've ever ironed was when i was nesting and JUST HAD TO iron and fold these little baby onesie suits.....that and scrubbing the kitchen floor by hand. Talk about temporarily losing one's mind Smile
