Do you think thees are TOO crazy or girly ( I don't want to keep the boys away)

this is what I had last year-tent not so good, if you don't want rain on your paint I would suggest not getting a tent that has a vent on top.
I like the zebra print -it goes w/ my logo - but don't want to go over board Laughing

Anyone had a tent from this company? would hate to bye another dud confused

whatever colour your tent is will be the colour of the light you have to work with. I have a white tent.

Agree with Perry. White is the best choice as any colour will change the colour of the light you are working in.

My pictures looked FABULOUS with a white tent. It was like being in a photo studio. Others have had the festivals require a white tent so it's a safe choice. I got a good deal (I thought) and it had extras like weight plates, awnings and included the walls and a big banner holder. It lasted through a 2 day festival, 8 weeks of up and down at a farmers market and several corporate gigs. And yes...it was at my door in 3 days, shipping included.

PS: There were a few high wind days that we went through. People on the forum suggested that we put it down half mast during high winds and that really helped. I was able to hold it down myself that way (there were spikes in the corners but I never felt "lifted"...)

Agreed, white....as stated, many events require white. And it helps in the heat...deflects some of it, and in low light conditions, it doesn't get extra dark (like overcast days)

Many juried events/festivals will not allow colored canopies, white only.

*Sigh* What she said.
I have a market umbrella. I like it because it's quick to pop up and down, unpack and repack... but after spending a windy Sunday working like a ninja at the markets ie. moving at the speed of lightning to catch my umbrella as it lurched and tipped over, 3 times... I know I need to upgrade. Thanks to this post, I am now absolutely certain I will choose a white tent/gazebo whatever it's called. Especially if my photos will look good too. SOLD!!!

Thanks for steering back to the right path flower Denise I had looked at that same tent package many times and almost ordered it at the end of summer but ran out of moolah Sad When I started looking again I saw some bad reviews on the EZ-up brand- sound like in the last year or two their quality has gone down ?? have any of you noticed that?

I am almost sure I will order from Denise's link but will wait a few days to see if you have anymore great advice for me

Thanks so much I love you I love you

I read a similar thing about the Caravan brand that Perry got a good deal on, that the newer ones weren't made of as good of materials as they used to be...it was from a guy that had bought one a couple of years previously.

I haven't bought other tents so I can only speak about the one I got and it's pretty sturdy. The only "part" I've had trouble with are the velcro tabs that hold the side walls to the legs when you don't have all 4 walls up (and except at night I'll always have 3 walls up. There are three of them and so they receive a lot of stress when there is wind and ride up a bit. I can see the stress of the stitching where it meets the wall fabric (does that make sense?) At the top of the walls, the velcro goes almost all the way across so it holds really well so I might have to invest in some velcro and do the same at the side walls.

Another thing I've enjoyed is when I have the walls up, there are barrel beads (that normally hold up rolled up side walls) that I can actually attach my 2x3 foot vinyl signs too. I'll try to find the picture (I think I posted it on another thread) so I was able to hang banners on all 3 walls.

I think it was a good investment. We don't have big winds like other states though.

No easy, per se. You are supposed to pull on the roof trusses at the same time with another person to expand the square out. I got around it a few times by spiking one corner in the ground (with one spike so it can wiggle with you) and using a shaking motion to expand it out. When it's open about 70% I got to the opposite corner and pull it out until I can snap the roof into it's proper hole. You may have to go around the tent about 3 times to get the legs out enough that the roof will snap into place.

Honestly, unless you are competing directly, fair people are very nice and will help you pull it out enough to get the roof snapped in. They will probably even stay around long enough for you to raise the legs. You raise one side a couple of notches and then go to the other side and raise it (rinse and repeat.)

All of this sounds like a lot of time but it's just a pain...it probably only takes about 10 minutes....less with a helper. If you put the walls up yourself, you might want to put them up before you raise it to full height to save wear and tear on your arms.

If it wasn't so cold right now, I'd do a video. Smile There might be one out there...you never know.

I can have my EZ Up tent up and table/paints set up and painting in 15 minutes from arrival, it would be a challenge for someone shorter though I think...I actually prefer to set mine up alone since most people mean well, but have no idea how to do it and I end up doing most of it myself anyways LOL

This is the place I got mine. Have had it three years, been through microbursts and the tail end of the hurricane last Sept...I am getting a new one this year because mine is getting dirty, and I am sure it is only a matter of time before it fails on some way or other... but at only $300, it has paid for itself many times over!!! Okay, what is with these magic tents and Fat Maxes that make the phone ring. I didn't get that model... Smile

I think you'll be happy with it. It was the best deal around for me. It seemed like everyone wanted to make you pay for all the extra's separately plus shipping and I couldn't find anything close at the local stores...even Cabela's so I know you got a good price at least.

Congrats.
