Painting my cousin Jamie

Post by Jody Rife on Fri Jan 27, 2012 8:05 am

I am blessed right now to have an ever willing model! This is my cousin Jamie, I painted this on her last wk, we were supposed to paint today but I had something come up, so I'll get her again next week,LOL. We paint at my Great Aunt's house, and my Grandma, my mom& Jamie's mom (my aunt of course) are always there, so we have fun. This is her second child but she suffered 2 miscarrages between. She is breathing easier now that she has made it this far.

You can't really see in the pic but ,her right arm ends above the elbow, she was born like this and isn't a bit shy about it. She has told me I can paint her all over any time. I can't wait to really get creative with her since she is game! She likes scary looking things, so we may have to do something creepy soon, I'm thinking an alien bursting through. My Gran will have a fit! LOL Also, I saw a man with one arm that had been painted with a snake coming out of his body and they made it appear that the snake took the arm off! I'm not big on scary but Halloween is her birthday and she loves it so, whatever she wants to try. Smile

Thanks ladies. Smile Today I painted a design inspired by my daughter's jacket. LOL I got a little messy ,I think and it didn't quite come across how I pictured it in my mind but, it is all good practice and Jamie was happy. Smile We are painting again in a couple wks.

Thank you, Miss Ronnie. I wanted to do so much more ,going up onto the chest and shoulder and an amazing butterfly across her face but she wasn't feeling well today so we took it easy. Smile

Beautiful! I love both your pics! FYI, for future reference... you missed a line in your peace symbol.

If she's not shy about her arm & likes scary things, you could have fun with it. I've seen a body painting picture of a man w/ 1/2 an arm where a monster like thing from his stomach had bit it off.

Yeah, Jamie is completely up for anything so I'm sure we will get creative in the future. Smile
