my first practice belly painting

Post by creativefunfaces on Fri Jan 27, 2012 7:43 pm

This is my practice belly painting. My husband was my guinea pig, and helped me out. I'm concerned the back ground of the tree isnt showing enough. I think it may still need some adjusting. I will be painting my sister in Feb. I am so excited!! Smile

Thanks, I know it needs some work. I know there will be mush more space to work with as well when I do it on the actually belly in Feb. I wanted it be like the tree of life, but it lookes kinda dead with out any added back ground. I will also be painting her daughter and her husband to incorporate them into the photo we will be taking. I think I may need a brighter green cooler for the tree as well. Guess I will need to go shopping.. Smile

try mixing some yellow into the green to make it a little brighter. Or mix some with blue and yellow until you reach the tone you like.

Okay, I needed to try that again. I changed up the coloring a bit and will have to watch the lines a bit more on the belly it self, but I think this is more what I was going for.
Here's my second try...

Thanks Very Happy I just think it looks alittle wintery. I wanted a more spring look. On the belly I will have so much more room to play with the colors and curls of the tree. I think the second one looked better in person because you could see it all around. Very Happy
