my first practice belly painting
This is my practice belly painting. My husband was my guinea pig, and helped me out. I'm concerned the back ground of the tree isnt showing enough. I think it may still need some adjusting. I will be painting my sister in Feb. I am so excited!!

Re: my first practice belly painting
Thanks, I know it needs some work. I know there will be mush more space to work with as well when I do it on the actually belly in Feb. I wanted it be like the tree of life, but it lookes kinda dead with out any added back ground. I will also be painting her daughter and her husband to incorporate them into the photo we will be taking. I think I may need a brighter green cooler for the tree as well. Guess I will need to go shopping..
Re: my first practice belly painting
try mixing some yellow into the green to make it a little brighter. Or mix some with blue and yellow until you reach the tone you like.
Re: my first practice belly painting
Okay, I needed to try that again. I changed up the coloring a bit and will have to watch the lines a bit more on the belly it self, but I think this is more what I was going for.
Here's my second try...

Here's my second try...

Re: my first practice belly painting
Thanks
I just think it looks alittle wintery. I wanted a more spring look. On the belly I will have so much more room to play with the colors and curls of the tree. I think the second one looked better in person because you could see it all around.
