Double-ended sponge daubers

Post by Wildcatfin on Mon Jan 30, 2012 8:28 am

Have you seen these?
BRILLIANT Much better than the ones with wood/ plastic handles! I was always worried the handles would poke through the sponge and poke the skin, and they were hard to clean well.

In the Uk they come in a 3 pack of 3 different sizes, from about a 10p piece to a circle as big as my thumb & index can make.

They are joined/ welded onto a sort of grey hour-glass shaped rubber bit, a same size sponge on each end.

BEST is they can go through the washing machine with your normal sponges...
YAY!

Cat, TAG was manufacturing them and stopped for some reason. Where are you getting yours if you don't mind me asking. I'd love to get some and do away with my wooden handled daubers.

I saw that Martha Stewart was making them, have not tried them yet. Was thinking about it!

Yep thats them...I'd guess the Martha Stewart ones may be a bit to squidgy for what I want (perfect moons and circles/ bubbles).

Don't know if its the same in the USA, but I was in a big craft chain recently and the MS stuff is SO expensive! Ie I was in a rush bwfore a last minute gig trying to find a stencil - hers were all £10 and up and other brands started at £4 for similar sizes/ styles!
