Sharing some of my 11 year old's paintings...

Post by Doe on Tue Jan 31, 2012 5:12 pm

My DD just turned 11. She has always had a great artistic sense and has really taken to face painting. My practice head arrived the other day and she tried the tiger on it - the black stained badly, so she did the rest of these on her own face. These are all from a Wolfe Brothers book.

I think she's doing great!

Dear Doe:
Your daughter's work is an amazing start. I would not say that an 11 year old produced that kind of quality.

To clean your practice head:
Use pure acetone to clean the practice head. (I get mine from a local beauty supply store, or WalMart. ). Even if it IS permanently stained, it is okay because the practice head has been created to be painted upon.

Happy painting!
Lisa

I think so too! I love her leopard!

I also think we need to get her and my 10yr old together to paint each other! Smile my 10yr old went to school with her arms and legs painted the other day. I leave for work at 6am. When I came home in the afternoon and saw how she went to school I freaked a little bit. Her reply was Dad saw me paint myself, he didn't say anything. Rolling Eyes
Really? He's used to seeing mom paint herself, he's not going to say anything! At least she didn't paint her brother before he went to school! LOL

That's funny, Angela.

Great job yours did, Doe!

There must have been something in the water 10 years ago, cuz my 10-year-old daughter is very into it also.

Thanks for sharing, Doe.
