Free Hand Glitter Tattoo (I don't think I'll ever go back to stencils)
I've let my glitter tattoo kit slide because I'm just not coordinated enough to deal w/ those stencils. They stick, rip, fold & and bend. It's so frustrating.
So.... I put my glue into a henna bottle w/ a fine tip (the type that screw on are best... so they don't pop off). I then draw out a design, let it dry (or dry it w/ a hair dryer on cool). Then glitter it, mica powder it or gild it w/ Mehron Metallic Powders! I'm so happy & have gotten loads of comments!
Here's my 1st 3 tries:

Wow, those metallics (Mehron powders?) really pop!
I wonder how the BN Lumiere's would turn out.
Can't wait to give it a go!
How long does the glue take to dry to clear on it's own before you can start applying the glitter, etc.?

Great! Question for Jantien: did you find somewhere larger bottles of glue, or are you just using the small ones with a brush?
Re: Free Hand Glitter Tattoo (I don't think I'll ever go back to stencils)
I'm using henna bottles w/ the finest henna tip. I squeeze the design out I draw it w/ the glue. It dries quickly if you keep the lines thin (something I'm learning to do). The lines can't be too fat or it takes forever to dry. I'm thinking a hand held fan might help.
I also discovered this is for adults, not kids. The kids were playing in one of those indoor climbing, tunnel things & it was pealing off. I did say it was a new product & we were all learning, so it went pretty well.

It's just the glue you can get from partyxplosion. just take a bit out of the bottle. And use a synthetic brush!!!

this is my take on a free hand style rose[img]
[/img][img]
[/img]and a peacock, the hardest part it trying to see where your disapearing lines should go.

Cat just started selling the kits (or is about to). I have been loving the freehand stuff, kinda like henna but I actually like it more. I always go out with a tattoo and it draws a ton of attention. I'm thinking these will be great for fairs or clubs! Great to offer something no one else in our area does too, so exciting!

I am ordering Cats kit because the tips are much finer than the henna tips for cleaner and thinner lines. Can't wait to get it.

Awesome! Cat Rocks the free hand glitter tattoos!
Great free hand designs Len!
A trick to see where your lines are: Ad a small chip of blue face paint to the glue & mix it up. It'll have a slight blue tint to it & make it easier to see your lines.

I love freehand glitter tattoos, I've been wanting to do henna but I'm paranoid that I won't be able to make it look good and it lasts ages on the client... But I can do some pretty henna style glitter tattoos on my hand!
