lovely design and so very cute!
I love the idea of the amber soothing teeth, just a question tho' - is there a danger of the beads coming off and choking them? I remember giving one of my kids (youngest is now 13 so it was in the far distant past
) a teething biscuit and a bit broke off and made him splutter, luckily he coughed it back up quickly, but it was worrisome

@Helena, that's a great question and I wondered that myself before I had it in my hands to examine but nope. The string is knotted in between each bead, so if it were to break (which would be hard to do since its dental floss), the beads would still stay put. I'm telling you, the person who designed these is brilliant.
Mine has never really put his in his mouth anyway, so I never needed to worry about it, but I can't speak for anyone else on that.

My munchkin has a teething necklace too. It's got silk thread which is hard to break. It's got the knots between each bead too. Mine has a cool plastic threaded join- it's like a little plastic screw. It holds well but if yanked on hard (like heaven forbid it gets caught on something) the plastic threads will fail and it will break apart. The kids don't actually chew on the beads for relief, just wearing them gives relief. There is an oil in the amber that has analgesic (pain relieving) properties.
But my guy has chewed his a few times. And it's still in really good shape.

Melody, you said you also use them for knee pain on your ankle? I have RA in both ankles and knees and there is a lot of pain especially in the winter.
Re: My Two Year Old Finally Let Me Paint Him!
Ohhhhh, I thought they chewed on them for relief! How cool that they just absorb the amber! Good to be aware of for any other painful areas. Thanks for the info

Was gonna say the exact same thing!
Re: My Two Year Old Finally Let Me Paint Him!
HillBillyDiva, YES! If you have knee pain, wear amber. If you have back pain, wear amber around your waist. If you have hand and wrist pain, wear an amber bracelet!
@Sweethavenarts, I am thinking that's just like my sons. It has the snazzy screw on clasp too.
