Newbie from Dubai:)

Post by Nina on Tue Feb 07, 2012 1:06 am

Hello everyone!!! This is Nina, I'm from Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Ive always been interested in face painting and have been painting my kids faces for quite a few years now. I am planning to make it a business soon. We only have snazaroo products in this country. It becomes very hot and humid here in the summer, sanzaroo becomes very runny in consistency so i am opting for tag and dfx. Tried purchasing tag and dfx products from the facepaintingforum shop, however,I do not have a Paypal account it doesn't give me the option of paying using my credit card. I was thinking it might have something to do with my billing address as it is an address here in Dubai. But my shipping address is in Virginia,U.S.A. where my Mom is at the moment and she is flying to Dubai on the 19th of Feb, so I'm kind off in a panic as i need the items delivered before the 19th of Feb to make it right in time before my Mother leaves for Dubai.
Been learning sooo much from this forum!!Thank you all:)

Email Metina to help you (support@facepaintforumshop.com). You CAN use a credit card without having a PayPal account, PayPal just acts like an online shopping cart and makes the transaction possible.

Welcome! You should check into some of the powders to use as bases for hot and/or humid regions.

Dubai seems to be an amazing country, from all I have seen and read about it.

welcome to the forum, Nina! as I see Ronnie has suggested, have you considered trying Starblend powders? They can be used wet or dry, but once you wet them, you can only use them wet.

Thanks for all the tips.... and the warm welcome!!this forum is amazing:)Metina was very helpful..so excited to get my paints. Ordered my starting paints, they are all tag split cakes essential colors apart from the dark blue and light blue as they were no longer available so i got them separately.got balck and white dfx and tag rainbow in regular and pearl. All my purchases where from the tips i gathered from this forum.I wanted to purchase more but my mom cannot carry a lot with her. My next purchase will be the pearl colors,I love them:)
As for the photos, will post some soon, but let me watch a lot of tutorials first(LOL)..considering subscribing to Faba.tv as well..
Dubai is a beautiful city with over 150 nationalities. The weather is beautiful at the moment. Very sunny but with cool wind. I am actually dreading the coming of summer, as it goes all the way up to 120F.
