Tree help?

Post by sweethavenarts on Wed Feb 22, 2012 8:12 am

I've got a few belly ideas that involve a tree. My tree looks silly. Can anyone give any help?

Mostly getting the woodgrain on the trunk worked for me. Ensuring you have knots in the grain helps. Even though you would not really see them like that on the outside of a tree, it seems to do the trick! Hope this helps!!

I have not painted the tree.
It's a pendant that I created.

Nice designs! In a few weeks I should be painting a woman as a tree! I can't wait!

just remember that the tree should go from thick to thin, every time you split a branch the branches should be thinner than before with the trunk of the tree being the thickest part.
