TAG, Your it. A Fun Game for All!

Fri Jan 01, 2010 11:34 pm by Metina

It is called TAG! You've just been Challenged.

Rules: Once you have been challenged to make a face design(cheek, half or full face), you have to post a pics of your creation, after which you have to TAG someone else specifically on the forum to make a new design... You may not tag...

Dirty fingers

Mon Feb 08, 2010 10:09 pm by CABBYJ

I don't know if this is because I'm a newbie or what, but have serious issues with my fingers getting dirty when I sponge paint on. I don't know if my I'm holding my sponge incorrectly (I'm a lefty and have to hold close to base for better control Very Happy). Any tips for keeping my hands clean during an event, there is nothing great about dirty fingerprints all over someones finished face! Embarassed

can we get another another game going? (weekly themes)

Tue Feb 02, 2010 11:14 am by aprilmoonflower

I really like the TAG game (even though I feel vastly underqualified to participate!). But I thought maybe we could do another sort of game and have a weekly theme thread? What do ya'll think? We could just post bunches of pics under a general theme? I would love to see everyones interpretations! Also it would be good practice for me too! I'd also be happy to organize it if you like! (you will hav...

Bruises from face paint!

Sun Feb 07, 2010 2:31 pm by Judy

As a special treat for my students, I let them pick a design and paint them on or close to their birthday. The kids are always so excited.

Last week, I painted a little girl (It was one of Shannon's eye designs) and she absolutely loved it! I told her to wash it off before she went to bed and all was OK..... or so I thought.

Monday morning, she came in and I noticed she...

Our first Jam was awwesome!

Sat Feb 06, 2010 6:06 am by Lady Jayde

Hi Guys!
I just wanted to report that the first official Jam session of the North East Ohio Facepainters was awesome!

We had ladies coming from over an hour away just to play with paints at an area Friendly's restaurant! This months activity was the cammouflage painting, I got the idea from one of google groups I belong to. While it was a fruitless attempt to get all of the ladi...

Costs per child

Sat Feb 06, 2010 12:08 am by Marinka

Does anybody know how much material you use on one facepaint?

A school nearby asked me to paint at their yearly fair. They have no money to hire me, but offered me to pay the costs of the material. I have no experience other than our own school so I have never had to think about the costs.

Thanks so much Lisa for the body sparkle brush. I LOVE it and in my favorite color too. I have wanted of these for a while but was always too cheap to buy one. Just one thing, where do I get the make-up to refill it?

Earth Day Ideas

Tue Feb 02, 2010 8:20 am by katyabbott

Hi there,

I volunteered to face paint at a nature center for Earth Day this April. Has anyone ever done this type of event? The theme is "reuse" I'm trying to brainstorm on ideas and any thoughts would be appreciated! I think I'll be painting younger kids age 3-5 since the older ones will have several 'resuse' activities to work on, but am assuming older kids will want somet...
